Gave my recovery a mild test with a trip to see the Provo City Center temple. Nice to get out of the house but be under no obligation to talk to anyone. Kids enjoyed it. Love the textures and contrasts, so beautiful.
Day 6, probably the longest, most uncomfortable day I’ve had in years. Everyone talked about the second week of recovery being the tricky part with getting tonsils out as an adult. I discounted it a little because of how smooth the first couple days went. But man has it caught up. All in all, I got to keep it in perspective that things are good. I’m able to stay home and rest, Elizabeth has been amazing and the kids have been understanding. Lots to be grateful for. This too shall pass.
My daughter had the scripture in Primary again. She wanted to do one about the Iron Rod. She can recite about 90 percent of it by memory/without help a week later. It’s been a lesson to me that our kids have so much capacity already, it just takes some effort/creativity on our part to unlock it. #sketchnotes
